    Settings Screen
This is where you set your nickname, alternate nickname, username and real name.
To access this screen, press the Options key and select Settings.
    1. Enter a nickname (required) in the Nickname field.
    2. Enter an alternate nickname (optional) in the Alt. Nickname field
    3. Enter a username (required) in the Username field.
    4. Enter a real name (optional) in the Real name field.

    Servers Screen
This is where you add and edit IRC servers that you wish to connect to.
To access this screen, press the Options key and select Servers.

    Adding a new Server
To add a new server, open the Servers screen, then select Add from the Options menu.
This will bring up the Add/Edit Server screen.
    1. Enter a name for the server (required) in the Name field.
    2. Enter the server's host name or IP address (required) in the Address field.
    3. Enter the port number for the server (required) in the Port field.
    4. Enter a password for connection to the server (optional) in the Password field.
    5. Press OK once you are done to take you back to the server list.

    Additional options after connection
Once you have successfully connected to a server, additional options are available in the Options menu on the main screen.

    Connect to [SERVER NAME]
This becomes available after you connect to a server. [SERVER NAME] is the name that you specified for the server. Essentially, it's a quick access option that enables you to connect to the last server you connected to if the application is restarted, for example.

    Disconnect
Selecting this will disconnect you from the IRC server you are currently connected to.

    Names
This is available only when the current active window is a channel. It displays a list of all the nicknames currently in the channel.

    Close
This is available when the current active window is a channel or a private message window. It closes the current window.

User Interface Navigation with the keypad on non-touch input devices
It is possible to navigate the user interface using the direction keys on the keypad.

If the currently focused item is the text area, you can use the up and down keys to scroll up and down respectively.

If the currently focused item is the tab bar, you can use the left and right keys to scroll down respectively.

You can use the up and down keys to switch focus between the tab bar, the text area and the text input field. Note that when the currently focused item is the text area, you will need to scroll to the end in either direction before focus is switched to the next item. This behaviour will be improved in future versions.]]>
    Introducing TopVideo for the iPhone http://www.rigfoundry.com/forums/discussion/8/introducing-topvideo-for-the-iphone Sun, 22 Mar 2009 18:31:37 -0400 akinwale 8@/forums/discussions
TopVideo helps you find out what the most popular videos are on the Internet. It is powered by AOL's Truveo service and it is very easy to use.

Planned features for future versions include video playback within the app on your iPhone and iPod Touch (this will be dependent on Flash Player availability) and direct downloads to your device.

If you discover any bugs, experience any problems or have any suggestions or feedback, please don't hesitate to start a new thread. We're always here to help!

    plpgsql Language Support Required http://www.rigfoundry.com/forums/discussion/6/plpgsql-language-support-required Tue, 25 Nov 2008 16:09:46 -0500 akinwale 6@/forums/discussions
There are two ways to do this, but you have to have superuser access to the database that you want to modify.

    1. Running it as a query in PostgreSQL
    CREATE LANGUAGE plpgsql

    2. From the command line (Unix-based environment)
    createlang -U postgres plpgsql <database>

Where postgres is assumed to be a superuser account, and is the name of the database where you want to have the plpgsql language enabled.

For more information, you can have a look at http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/interactive/sql-createlanguage.html]]>
    About IP.Board PostgreSQL modification services http://www.rigfoundry.com/forums/discussion/5/about-ip.board-postgresql-modification-services Tue, 25 Nov 2008 16:02:18 -0500 akinwale 5@/forums/discussions
We would have provided a PostgreSQL driver which can be installed by anyone, but since the IP.Board license prohibits distribution of code derived from the existing codebase (the driver pretty much derives from the default MySQL driver), but allows users to modify their installations, we resorted to doing the necessary modifications for the users.

We are still waiting for word from Invision Power Services concerning distribution of a driver. If we get approved, then we will have the PostgreSQL driver for IP.Board available for purchase. For now, however, we carry out the necessary modifications for you for the advertised fee.

Please do not hesitate to post any questions or comments you may have concerning this service.

    What's this about? http://www.rigfoundry.com/forums/discussion/4/whats-this-about Fri, 01 Aug 2008 13:31:14 -0400 akinwale 4@/forums/discussions
My name is Akinwale. I intended for rigfoundry.com to be some sort of repository for useful personal projects that I complete (I don't finish a lot of projects) and release. Since I've been too lazy to develop a proper site, I've resorted to using forums for now since it'll give me a chance to interact with people that use these apps and tools. This is experimental and hopefully it works out so that I don't have to build a web site afterall. :)

I maintain a blog as well for those who are interested.

    Enjoy.]]>
